Samuel (Isruel) Porvin
( - d.November 18, 1938)
The founder of Porvin family first immigrated at Detroit, Michigan. Grandson of Leib Nicholiaves from Bagrinowsky, Vinnytyia Oblast in Ukraine. According to his family record, Samuel left for the US in 1914. He married to Sheiva Milstein and had six children. They are Fruma, Belia(Betty), Shmuel(Sherman), Abraham(Albert), Kreinia(Clara) and Basia(Beveryly). He is known by the name of Sam in the United States. Recently he was discovered as to be younger brother to Leib Yahuda Pervin who immigrated at Toledo, Ohio.
