Litin, a town in Vinnitsa oblast in the Republic of Ukraine, has a population of 7,668 as of 2004.  According to the Timeline of the History of the Jews in Litin, there were 3,874 Jewish residents (41% of population) in 1897.  Most of them left for Israel, Canada, United States, or South America before the WWII, or they perished during the holocaust between 1941-1944.  Today, there are 10 Jewish residents living in Litin.  The town is situated 20-miles northwest of Vinnitsa, the capital of the oblast.  The highway M12 runs through the town via Letichev and Kmelnitski.
