A PILGRIMAGE TRIP TO UKRAINE BY THE PERVIN TREE, "THE LOST SHTETLS IN PODOLIA"

HEIDI'S MEMOIR

"AN EVENING STROLL IN VINNITSA"

A small chorus of voices can be heard in the distance - a soft, sad song is being sung by women, somewhere.

We see a statue of 3 soldiers - in the Soviet style - minimalist , few details, standing tall, simple - which always seems to be screaming out - strong, powerful, fearless and efficient.

The singing gets louder as we near a once well-manicured park now turned to ruin.  The rubble does not inhibit its use - by the young couples, the young adults laughing and flirting, the men contemplating and the small band of elderly women singing their folk songs of life's lessons.
